Imagine...a
generation of innovative and motivated young people, who instinctively
think and act sustainably.
In November the Board applied for and
was successful in Lakeview School becoming an accredited Enviroschool
for 2005-2007.
This project will see Lakeview being supported to
develop and implement a comprehensive learning and action programme to
involve the children in a sustainable environmental project to achieve
minimum waste across the school.
Ban the incinerator,
recycling
is the way to go!
Lakeview School is working
towards this vision through a whole school approach to environmental
education.
Tree planting in the
wetlands area adjacent to
the school and Henley Lake.
Students develop skills, understanding, knowledge and
confidence through planning, designing and creating a sustainable school
which have both environmental and educational outcomes that benefit the
school and the wider community.
